Cookie policy

· Applies to loamnotes.com and every page on it

This site sets one storage item of its own, and it exists solely to remember the answer you gave about cookies. Everything else on this page is advertising, it only happens if you agree to it, and you can withdraw that agreement in one click at any time.

What a cookie is here

“Cookie” is used loosely on this page to mean any of the mechanisms that store or read information on your device: HTTP cookies, browser local storage, and the advertising identifiers and pixels that work alongside them. The rules that matter, Vietnam’s Personal Data Protection Law and the EU ePrivacy rules, apply to all of them in the same way, so it would be misleading to describe only one.

Strictly necessary

These cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot do what you came for. They store no identifier and are shared with nobody.

That is the complete list. The loan inspector itself stores nothing: your figures live in the memory of the tab and are gone when you close it, which is why they survive neither a refresh nor a second visit.

Advertising

Only with your consent. These are set by Google and by the advertising partners it transacts with, and they are the reason this site can be free.

Names and lifetimes are Google’s and can change without us being told. The authoritative list is maintained by Google in types of cookies used by Google.

Audience measurement

Also only with your consent. This category is declared in the consent panel and is currently not in use: no analytics provider is loaded on this site. It is listed so that if one is ever added, it arrives switched off and inside a choice you have already been offered, rather than appearing one day without being mentioned.

What happens if you refuse

The site works exactly as before. The calculator is unaffected, because it never needed a cookie. Advertising still appears, but it is chosen from the content of the page rather than from anything about you, and no advertising identifier is written to your device. We signal your refusal to Google twice, through Google Consent Mode and through Google’s own non-personalised and restricted data processing flags, so a failure in either mechanism does not quietly result in a personalised advertisement.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

Google requires personalised advertising to those visitors to run behind a consent management platform that Google has certified and that integrates with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. That dialogue is what you will see instead of our own banner. It lists every advertising vendor by name and lets you accept or refuse each of them and each purpose individually.

Managing cookies in your browser

Independently of anything on this site, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and most offer a setting to block third-party cookies entirely, which will stop the advertising cookies above whatever you choose here. Blocking all cookies will also clear the record of your consent decision, so the banner will return.
